The time has come.

Saturday I'll travel to Australia, where I will initially be based in Sydney for 3-4 weeks. There's a client that needs immediate attention in Syndey + my company offered me an apartment there, so why not. But already, looks like weekly travels all over the country are going to be the norm, which comes as no surprise.

After Sydney, move to Melbourne.

Bye Bye Holland, it's been really, really great.

Wish me luck :)

Awakenings - yeah! Last week 40 of us from Noordwijk hit this massive techno party, what a blast. Another thing I will miss when I leave Holland, these parties (well maybe that's a good thing ;).

40 people....we rented a bus/driver to go to the event, what a sick nite...

Bas' House - warming up...

Wow, I've been home 3 weeks now.

During this time, did a bunch of things, such as getting my move to Australia organised (home, furniture, bureaucracy, etc.), visited my parents in Rapallo, Italy (see pics below), and hung out with my friends in Holland.

It's been great seeing family and friends, leaving them will be the hardest part of the move Down Under...but I like to think that the world is small, and thanks to internet/email/cheapo phone calls, it's easy to stay in touch these days. And of course, I'll be in Europe regularly!

Right now I'm waiting for one thing: the work visa. My company tells me it should be ready next week, so I'm hoping to leave for Melbourne on May 30th. Meantime - relax, kite, gym, friends, and just chill. Can't complain :)

The view from my parents house, in Rapallo, Italy.

The ship that was used in filming Pirates - pretty cool to see it in real. Genova, Italy.

My wonderful parents.

Welcome home...

Got back to Holland a few days ago, and man has it been cold, 6-9 degrees. Have not felt like going outside at all...should be warming up later this week. Loads to do anyways before leaving for Australia, including visiting my parents in Italy, in a few weeks.

I'll keep this blog open for a bit longer, seeing that people are keen to know about my big move to Oz.
